We have been operating camper van rentals and Overlanding/Camping equipped 4×4 Rentals in Costa Rica for almost 10 years and have over time selected the best cars and equipment to correctly camp and adventure in our beautiful country.

Although we do have some camper vans available for rent (sleep inside options – like the Suzuki APV and the Kia Bongo) we focus mainly on 4×4’s with rooftop tents as we think this is the best way to experience camping in Costa Rica and our nature. Our campervan rental options for Costa Rica are:

Kia 4×4 Campervan: This is a great little 4×4 truck with a built in camper cabin – the truck can seat up to 6 people so we have the option of adding rooftop tents on top of the camper as well. The rear camper cabin has a fan/extractor, lights, large water tank with pump/shower, awning and all the camping and cooking equipment needed. This is a perfect solution for people looking for a 4×4 campervan – it works for couples with just the cabin, or for large families or groups of friends if you want to add on the rooftop tents.

Suzuki APV Campervan: This is a 4×2 campervan built out for two people – we have removed the rear seats to make it a full bed option – it has fans, water tank, 12v cooler fridge, lights, gas stove and cooking equipment, all bed linen/pillows and all other camping gear you need (machetes, table, folding chairs, hammocks etc.) The camper vans have an awning on the full roof rack so you can easily carry around Kayaks or Surfboards or SUP’s on the roof.
