The car
The iconic FJ Cruiser is an incredibly powerful 4x4 with a 4.0L gasoline engine and a guaranteed automatic gearbox.
It suits couples and families of up to 5, and it can carry any of our three rooftop tents: Standard, Double or Hard-Shell. Like every car in our fleet it is set up for Costa Rica's back roads, with raised suspensions, mud-terrain tires, a front bumper, halogen lights, a snorkel and a side awning.
Very fun to drive - just the right size to not be too small and be comfortable and not be too big that you can't easily get into tight situations, bad roads etc.

Our bases are 10 minutes from San José airport (SJO) and 5 minutes from Liberia airport (LIR), with free pick-up and drop-off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at airport or nearby hotels.
