SJO is in Alajuela, not San JoséJuan Santamaría airport (SJO) is Costa Rica's main airport, in Alajuela. Our base is right nearby, so there's no need to stay in San José city.
Landing in the evening?Afternoon arrivals can start the same day. If you land after 5 p.m., stay at a hotel in the Alajuela area for the first night and we pick you up for free the next morning, any time after 8 a.m.

One-way trips are finePick up here and drop off at our Liberia base (LIR), or the other way around, at no extra cost.

How far is your base from Juan Santamaría airport (SJO)?

About 10 minutes. Our base is in La Garita, Alajuela, and we pick you up for free at the airport.

Is airport pick-up free?

Yes. We pick you up for free at SJO airport or any hotel in the Alajuela area, and bring you back at the end of your trip.

What time can I pick up and drop off?

Our office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pick-ups and drop-offs run until the last shuttle at 4 p.m.

My flight lands in the afternoon or evening. Can I start the same day?

Afternoon arrivals are fine for a same-day start. If you land in the evening, after 5 p.m., book a hotel in the Alajuela area for your first night and we pick you up for free the next morning, any time after 8 a.m.

Can I drop the car off in Liberia?

Yes. One-way trips between our Juan Santamaría (SJO) and Liberia (LIR) bases are at no extra cost.
